Prepare for outdoor adventure with the KEEN Oregon PCT hiking boot. WOW!!!!
These boots are awesome! Right out of the box they fit, feel great, no break in time at all. I wear a 7 in a flat shoes. 71/2 in a heel and I take an 8 in a boot and then put in Spenco Arch-orthotic 3/4 Length supports--best supports in the world--add thick wool socks by Darn Tough Vermont Merino Wool Boot Cushion Sock, and wah-la!--I have a wonderful base for this great hiking boot. This boot looks clunky--like a hiking boot should look--but is so light and comfortable, you cannot tell it is clunky until you look down at your feet. Last year, I had purchased Lowa Women's Renegade GTX Mid Hiking Boot and love them--very sleek and comfy--size 8--but this boot by KEEN is less expensive. I like both boots--I have been worried about Lowa's Vibram sole because I have read too many reviews that they fall apart after a while. I still love the boot, but decided to look around for one that didn't have that kind of cautionary tale to tell. I have worn the Lowa's hiking boots on the...

Great winter boot with ankle support.
Initially the boot seemed tight near the toes, pushing down on the foot at the ball of the foot region, but after a couple of hikes, it became roomier and molded nicely to my foot. Very waterproof which in warm weather is a bit too warm (doesn't breathe well), but in winter shouldn't matter at all. Great traction in loose dirt and rocks. The high ankle provides support so my chronic ankle sprains which surgery did not fix, have disappeared. The one thing I don't like (and it's common to most boots) is the shoelace hooks at the top are sharp on the edges and end up tearing the shoelaces after about 400 wears. Of course, Keen boots come a half size smaller than most shoes.

Great boot
Good boot. Some break in time, but great fit. Feet staying warm and dry on all recent snowshoe hikes. Always wear Keens and recommend these boots.
